=LadyKirha suggested that rather than practise portraiture from photos, I should be drawing real models first, so I've taken the advice on board
This is a drawing of my mum, who kindly let me draw her (she was doing stuff on the computer so I sat beside her for a profile view) Of course, because I'm not very skilled yet, it doesn't really look like her, but guess it was good practise
(I apologise for the wrinkled paper, it's very thin so it creases easily)
Since I'm new to this whole portrait drawing thing, I'd really really appreciate any advice, constructive criticism, comments, anything to help me improve! I know it's going to take a lot of practise and I'm willing to put in the effort, and hopefully I'll see some improvement as I continue.
